Dec 01, 2006 · Browning BAR Mk II Safari Model I bought a Browning BAR Mk II in 30'06 last year( I have not shot it very much since I also got an M1A about the same time). The Browning is equipped with a Bushnell Elite 3400 3x9 scope. The safety is better on the Browning. The bolt is much slicker on the Tikka. Trigger adjustment on the Tikka was a breeze down to 2.5#. I was able to adjust the Browning down to 3#. The Browning is the heavier of the two and I seem to grab the Tikka more often when headed to the woods. Both have claimed their share of Whitetails.
